Can anyone tell me their experienced with the Morini CM 22m? How was it at the 50 yards? In 25 yards timed and rapid fire? Thank you. LG

Weren't you the one who sold me the CM22m some time ago? I must say I love this gun. I installed a scope mount and UltraDot Matchdot on it, so that I can shoot NRA Bullseye. It is very accurate at 50 yards, very forgiving, and even sometimes when I call my shot at 8 or even 7, it still hits 10-ring or even X-ring! :)

Yes that was me. I have not been using it and I needed a space in my safe so I sold it. I have been using a Pardini. I appreciate your comments here. I'd like to buy one asap. LG

i own a morini cm22m for four years. still love it. the grip is perfect, all morini grips are super (lp10 steyr, cm84e).
high scores: 25meters 370 out of 400, 50 meters 444 out of 600.
the pistol is not really good for free pistol, a little bit to heavy at the front.

I need an advice on how to remove the screw 022010 on my Morini CM 22M as it is very tight. I wanted to install a rail for a red dot on it. I've used the supplied tool and one other that I have. I've asked a couple of shooters to help but it wouldn't budge. I worry that I may damage this brand new pistol. Thank you. LG

If I remember correctly, this is just a Torx screw. I was able to unscrew mine easily. Try this - freeze the barrel overnight in a freezer and then heat it in the oven.

Yes, it's 022011. Did you see any sign of loctite? Are there any rubber or plastic that might melt in the heating process? Thanks.

No, as far as I remember, there was no loctite on mine. As for rubber or plastic, I'm not 100% sure, strip your barrel completely before doing it. You will need to remove the rear sight anyway to install the rail. Make sure you remove the recoil spring too.

I use Ultradot Matchdot on mine with the smallest dot size (2MOA). My scores now are in low 90's for string of 10 shots slow fire at 50 yards. Sustained fire is also much better than it was with my Ruger Mark III. I am very happy with Morini.

That is a great score. I'm having so much difficulty with 50 yards slow fire. I hope this Morini with a match dot II can get me a bit closer to your level. Thanks. LG

That's right, it took me a while to teach my Morini to shoot at 50 yards target. "Signor Cesare, I used to tell him after another 7- or 6-ring, this is US of A, we use imperial system here, these are yards, not meters, capisce?"

Rather than buying an AW 93, I will get Dave Wilson to work on my Morini and Pardini 22/32. I do wonder however that with David working with these barrels for 50 yards may compromise its 25 meters performances where these are designed for. Thank you for sharing that information. LG

It wont.

If you could record the path of several bullets from the muzzle to the target at 50 meters (or yards, it doesn't matter), you would end up with a cone shape. The pointy bit being the end of your barrel and the base being the group on the target. Of course this cone will be "bend" due to gravity.

Now if you look at that cone and "slice" it in half (25 meters or yards) you will find a group that is, give or take, half the size of the 50 meters one.

If only the barrel is worked, it shouldn't be any less accurate at 25 meters. It would be just the opposite. You need a smaller group at 25 to get a better group at 50.

If other parts are worked on, then probably the cycle will be affected and it may not fire as rapidly, or extract as well as it does now.
