I have talked to several shooters here in Norway, and they are all happy with there SSP. Almost all of them have guns made after Febuary 2006. Maybe the kinks have been worked out?

I am surprised at your comment considering you asked a question about SSP "kinks" on another thread only 13 hours earlier.

I presume something has happened in that time to give you extra confidence in the SSP.

SSP versus SP20

Hi,
I am now shooting a Hämmerli SP20 made by Walther in Ulm.
You may recall me talking about SSP last year? I do not think it is a good idea to buy a SSP before you see how it is received on the market. I would go for next generation. The GSP is still in production! Walther does not rely on the SSP yet, that is what I make of it.
There are better choices today:
Pardini for some, and SP20 for the rest.
Do not forget the used pistol market:
Hämmerli 208S and 280, Walther GSP are well designed and I would not feel it to be a disadvantage if I had to use one.
