Do you have access to your air pistol at home?
If you do then, in my opinion, the best training you can do is dry firing. This can even be usefully done at a reduced distance on a reduced sized target.
This is also extremely useful training even when you do get the opportunity to get to the range.

The best "no gear" training you can do is visualization. Get comfortable, then see yourself doing perfect shot routines. Don't think about scores, just perfect shot routines. See yourself in a match while doing these shot routines.
Scores aren't important because you have no control over them. Shot routine is important because you have 100% control over it... perfect the shot routine and the scores will take care of themselves.
Past that, I agree with David, dry firing. Different kinds too, against a blank wall, with your eyes closed, against a target (or scaled down dot), etc... Hopefully you can find someplace that has a floor similar to where the match will be (so, not on carpet). Pay attention to your balance and inner position.
Cheers,
Brian

Visualisation if done right is very good.
Just physically going through the motions without a pistol is also good.
thank you for your replies
