I am new to the air rifle venue having just bought my first air rifle. Since I am an individual shooter a SCUBA tank seems like overkill as an air resupply. Is there a smaller tank that will serve my needs?

Thanks

PS - Bought a Steyr LG100

No not really. I have looked at it from all the angles. Assuming you have a dive shop in 20-30 miles a scuba tank is the best way to get the driest air into your rifle. Also, be sure to get one with a 3000 psi rating not an old 2250 psi tank (been there did that).

Another alternative is to acquire an air pump, cost about the same of an air tank. If you plan to shoot a lot, air tank tank is the way to go, it may seems big compare to the air cylinder of youir air rifle, but the pressure inside the tank drops as you refill your cylinder with it, depending on the make of your air rifle, you may get 15-20 fills then the pressure will drop to the point it won't fill the cylinder completely. If you had a pump, it can be use to top it up until you can go to a dive shop to have the tank refill.

There are some smaller "Pony" tanks available at Dive Shops. But they are almost as expensive as a full sized tank.

Thanks to all. I think I got my answer. Full sized tanks.
