Well, it's not too competitive, but it IS more visual. Watching other people shoot is like watching grass grow, BUT it is fun to talk to people after they shoot.

I don't know but I prefer to watch shooting than synchronized swimming (their fake smiles, stupid caps, and stupid little robot moves) anyday!

How about if we require all shooters to shoot in thong swimwear?

Well the Olympics is a lot better than so called "reality" tv. The networks are having a hard time attracting people to watch commercials. Personally I would rather shoot a slingshot than to watch TV, with phony laughter, phony scenarios, and overt media bias. Even President Reagan can't be laid to rest in peace.

Let me explain how this will REALLY work:

NBC: Gymnastics, swimming, diving. Opening and closing ceremonies, too. Track limited to finals. No field events.

HDTV: Same events, HD pictures

MSNBC: All basketball, all the time. Watch the Shame Team thrash amateurs by 30-point margins. Might cover softball or soccer for a few minutes

CNBC: Beach volleyball. Might cover boxing if there's time to fill.

Bravo: Equestrian events, synch swimming. Forget the rest.

USA: Same basketball coverage as MSNBC, just on a different network.

Telemundo: NBC coverage in Spanish.

Short form: No spandex, no TV coverage. Fencing, shooting, yachting, field (as opposed to track) events, etc.? Forget it. NBC has a VERY hard time with the idea of a sport that doesn't involve a ball.
