Hi gang,

My TOZ35M arrived today and I wanted to do a little dry fire practice with it this weekend. Unfortunately we are expected to get about two to three feet of snow this weekend here in the Colorado Rockies. Since I probably will be house bound, I thought I might try a little dry fire with it.

I'm new to free pistol and have the following question -

For purposes of dry firing at 6 meters - what size should the bull be in order to closely replicate what I would be seeing at 50 meters??

My German is rusty but I think the PDF file shows the practice targets for 3 meters. If I am correct, all I need to do is double them for 6 meter practice.

Use 10 meter air rifle target, for dry firing should be more than close enough.

Paul what you need is a little math lesson and you will be able to reduce any target you ever need to any distance you want.

X=the size of the black you want to reduce
Y=the size of the black at the reduced distance
A=the legal distance to shoot at
B=the reduced distance you want to shoot at

for what you want to do

X=200mm
Y=this is what you need to know
A=50 M
B=6 M

200/50=Y/6

Y=6*(200/50)

Y=24mm

Just remember to keep the units the same on top and the same with the bottom.

You could use Feet for the distances and mm for the diameters as long as you are constant.
