Have anyone tried the mr 96 for centerfire competition?
Is is as good as the 73 Match in 38 caliber?
Is it an alternative to the Walther GSP?

I get the impression that's not what it's designed for at all.

The main design point seems to focus on fast reloads, which to me indicates a service gun, IPSC and the like.

I own one of them, it's a good revolver, even if the trigger is not the MR 32's one, the precision is okay, but the grip is a combat grip, not designed for a precision shooting.

It looks modern, that's a good gun, made more for a two hands shooting.

I have tried the MR 96 and prefer to GSP.

Now that's comparing oranges with apples

I’m sorry to Necro a thread that is over 20 years old, however is there any chance that you still own this MR 96 and are you willing to part ways with it? This is all assuming that you’re located in the United States
