Men’s 10m Olympic AP Slots 2028

Since the Olympics is coming to the United States, does that mean the USA will have a 10m AP men’s slot? Or is it a competition the USA doesn’t compete in

The USA competes in 10M pistol. Without looking it up I believe we earned spots for the 2024 Olympics. If you did not see any USA shooters in the 2024 Olympics on TV it’s because none of them made the top 8 in qualifications so they did not move into finals (medal round). They only showed finals on TV. I follow rifle so I am not sure how many men & women from the USA were at the 2024 Olympics or how they placed in the qualifying match to make the top 8.

No US men in the 2024 Olympic 10m AP. Country did not earn a spot.

Host country shall receive one spot, regardless whether a formal quota spot was earned in competition.
However, athlete must still be qualified, based roughly on achieving a min. qualification score of 563,
and place significantly in international competition.
