Disabled Veteran

Post by Wal03 »

My Name is Mark Walsh I am an OFI Diabled Veteran. I have found that the shooting Sports are a great way for veterans to get out and reconnect with with competitive sports. I have found that people in the shooting Sports are great and willing to help out others new to the sport.(mostly). The camaraderie is a big part of what a lot of veterans mis about the service. This being said I want to start a shooting program for disabled veterans. I am in New England and have the support of my gun club.I plan on starting off with sporting type air rifles then move up to smallbore and possibly high-power xtc. The CMP has started the Distinguished Marksmanship Badge for disabled shooters, so far I am the only shooter to get Leg points(16 you need 30 to get the badge).I am looking for advice, resources and most of all Disabled Veterans that want to compete. Please PM me Thanks

Hi Mark, It is good to hear that you are starting a rifle group, air, smallbore, hp. I have tried for years to get more people involved with air/smallbore, and still am alone in my area. I will private message you.
