Jacket & Pants for “Short” Jr shooter

Post by AsphaltFlunky »

Looking for recommendations for fitting a Jr shooter. Currently wearing a older used 36 jacket and bought him a new jacket size 38 from Freelands. The new jacket seems tight around the chest area and much too long in total length. We have the sleeves rolled up to help with the short arms and haven’t even tried pants. Everything we have we have held up to him is 8” too long. Should I be looking for “Ladies” outfit for him or is my only option a custom fit jacket and pants that he will grow out of in a year.
Thank You

champions choice has 'Short' length pants but no such option for jackets.

ETA: Don't be afraid to modify a jacket's sleeve length by sending to a cobbler to cut off the desired length and sew on the end trimming. Overall length I would not worry too much about.

I will suggest that you start by reviewing the standard size charts and measuring directions of the manufacturers whose equipment is available here in the US such as,

https://oberleenterprises.com/wp-conten ... ements.pdf

and

https://oberleenterprises.com/wp-conten ... 44_146.pdf

Then get out a measuring tape, measure your junior and call some of the folks that sell this equipment. They are all helpful and your junior will benefit from better fitting equipment.
