Looks like that hack was nasty - turned the threads (dates) completely upside down.

For December:

482-6X (79-1, 80, 87-1, 78-1, 78-1, 80-2)
Pardini K12
H&N FML
10m ISSF rules, Orion 004C targets
Sub 6, HT M 65 USA
Targets here: http://www.jimpoulette.com/Target_Talk_ ... r_2021.jpg

Again, progress is slow but sure. The good thing is that it's becoming more comfortable shooting 60 shots - less fatigue, which I'm hoping will help going forward.

Target scores for 2, 4, 5, & 6 all could have been infinitely better if not for those dreaded flyers. Onward and upward.

First go for the final month of another topsy turvy year. Well, actually second go but I quickly discovered that single malt is not a performance enhancing substance when administered the night before shooting in generous measures. Wobbly, much?

If we're counting SCATT matches, I improved a bit on my earlier 525 with a score of 529. I also scored 526 in a match today, which is my personal best for a competitive match, and also the first time I kept all 60 shots in the black in a competitive match.

Back to training performance levels I had with Morini before the new gun/2 month pause. Feel it could've went a lot better if not the chicken hand after the third successful serie.

I’ve shot my first five air pistol matches and have mostly ended up in the 530-536-range except for a frustrating 513 where I felt like I had completely forgot what I was doing. Most series end up in the 88-90 range, sometimes including the odd 5 or 6.

I still feel like I ’should’ be shooting better, but I don’t think I will until I have let go of that thought.

Second go at it this month. Sufficient discipline to put the pistol down when things arent developing to plan still a weakness of mine.

All the good work on building up the arm, destroyed on the ski slope. Be back in a few months after the shoulder heals.

I'm traveling for the Holidays the second half of this month so I missed my local match, attaching my best practice session. I mentioned in the eyeglasses thread that I'm working through figuring out making my new prescription work. I haven't really been feeling an issue with seeing well, but there's room for improvement. I also go through a cycle of being comfortable/uncomfortable on the trigger, and this month has been mostly UNcomfortable. I brought my gun on vacation, so I'm doing lots of dry fire practice to help with that.

I hope that you're feeling better now. A dear friend flew to LA from Hartford, CT for Christmas, wore a quality KN-95 mask the entire time and is now recovering from an Omicron variant infection. She was J&J vaccinated and boosted with Moderna. Her symptoms are relatively minor. She infected both her sister and sister's bf who she is staying with. Both vaccinated, but not boosted. Thankfully, they are only mildly symptomatic.

My cousin in Burlington VT is dealing with her physician husband who has a breakthrough Omicron infection. He is Pfizer vaccinated and boosted. He is mildly symptomatic. So far, he's infected two of his three children. All mildly symptomatic. All vaccinated. My cousin and one remaining child await the overall outcome in their family.

Stay as safe as possible. It ain't over by a long shot.

I'm finally getting my booster tonight. I was supposed to get it three weeks ago but, ironically, I was sick (not Covid) so couldn't go.

I was fortunate to get a booster of Moderna within two days of their becoming available here in VT. Had a bit of a reaction to it, but not quite as difficult as the second Moderna shot was. Better that than the alternative.

Stay as safe as you can. I'm hunkered down through mid-January. Will only go out if absolutely necessary.
