Morini Trigger Blade Options - CM 200 EL

Long story short, I have a new Morini CM 200EL and long fingers.

I find myself naturally placing my finger on the bottom edge of the blade at an angle. My old trigger blade on a different platform was canted to accommodate.

I was looking at the Morini Long Trigger Blade which seems to help with the long fingers. (http://www.pilkguns.com/store/Morini-Lo ... -p84810715).

Looking for other options I came across the Swedish trigger blade with the curve to accommodate the angle of the finger. It seems that this would be a bit short for my finger however. (http://www.interprodukter.se/tillbehor.php)

I was curious if there were any other competitors in this situation that had recommendations or solutions?

Thanks!

Lake

Hello-

I use the extended Morini trigger on my pistol. Same great quality as the standard one, perfect fit, and does what it is supposed too. The only other trigger I have tried, and liked better, was a Centra/Lottes Putter- but that was on a Steyr. Buinger shows them in stock, for the Morini, but they are not. (I tried to order one, but could never get a confirmed delivery time.) I am pretty sure the triggers are made to order. If you decide to order one, contact Buinger direct and expect a very long wait.

I wish they had a swivel type trigger ...not just the normal blade configuration

I've had some success 3D printing trigger shoes for various guns. My wife has small hands & very short fingers. I designed & printed a short trigger for her MatchGun MG2:

I also made a wide trigger shoe for an AR-7 .22 rifle to make it more comfortable:

At some point, I'll need to dig them out & take real pictures..

m1963,

I think the putter will be a bit short. I will see if I can get a better measurement.

dontshootercritters,

I agree. My previous air pistol, had the swivel so it wasn't a second thought.

Gwhite,

I had been looking into this option. I have seen various 3D parts for the Morini 162 online. There just seems to be a lack of aftermarket triggers in this discipline compared to the rifle side of the sport.

Due to the blade configuration of the Putter (flat) I felt it gave me more reach than the standard or extended, dished, Morini trigger.

The fixed trigger on the Morini is one of the reasons I prefer Morini pistols over Steyr, FWB, Walther, etc. It always seems to me that the more adjustments that are available the more likely an adjustment can change by accident, or through use.

Good luck!

I still like the idea of a bit of blade rotation for the trigger but thats just my thinking. Not sure how it would move with use thats for sure. It only travels back a couple of mm when activated..

As best I can tell, they don't make one for Morinis.

Yes, they make. Just some reason Morini is not mentioned in their website.

Hello, the putter (orange) and the putter SE (blue) are also available for the Morini CM200. Send Lottes Sport + Technik an email.

Observer-

Thank you, for the information. I just emailed Lottes Sport + Tecknik. I would very much like to get my hands on this trigger blade for the Morini 162EI.

I think the Lottes Putter SE is the right solution as it is long and has the curve I am looking for. I sent them an email.

Thank you all!

Hi Gwhite, nice trigger blades. Is there anything shooting-wise you can’t do?

Seriously, I’d be interested to know how you decided where to place the groove in the blade, this being used for determining trigger weight. Obviously, the higher up the blade it is placed, the higher the apparent weight. This means that it would be possible to have an apparent 500g trigger when in reality it is much lighter at the centre of the trigger finger pad.

I theory, the groove is supposed to be in the middle. My wife is highly unlikely to ever compete at a level where it matters, so I wasn't super precise about the location.

There's lots of stuff I can't do, and hitting the middle of the target is becoming one of them. One of this summer's projects is to see if the spasms in my right arm are absent in my left... If nothing else, the effort will make me a better coach. First learning experience was ordering a lefty Rink grip without the necessary 7 degree offset because I will now be shooting cross-dominant...

Does anybody who has modeled the Morini trigger or measured it accurately know the dovetail dimensions for the trigger?

Thanks.

Has anybody failed an equipment check with one of these?
If you check the trigger weight using the notch in the trigger
BUT use it by pulling the trigger at a point below the notch, You have a
below minimum trigger weight. I see pictures at matches and wonder
who will be the first to protest it. It would make an interesting discussion....

The trigger weight should be measured near the middle of the trigger.
If there is a notch in any other part of the trigger, that is irrelevant...
Those kinds of protests end very quickly when the person protesting is shown the rule book... ;)
