Walther sells a special dry-firing buffer for SSP:
https://carl-walther.com/sport/products/p/2785633

The manual says: "For extensive dry-fire training, we recommend the optional dry-firing buffer item no. 278 56 33."

Does anyone have this?
Is it worth the money?
What is the idea of this buffer?

I have this buffer. It isn't like a normal dry fire plug you just put in front of the firing pin in the chamber. How it works, I am not sure. You have to unscrew one of the screws up front and screw it in there.

I will say that it does seem to make the "hit" of the dry firing seem a bit softer compared to without it.

I think if you are going to do extensive dry training, as in, thousands of dry fires, then it's probably a good idea. Otherwise, it's probably not worth your bother.

Thanks!

This is new thing for me. I haven't seen such dry-firing buffer in any another gun.

If this dry-firing buffer is used should an normal style dry fire plug used as well?
