The CMP would like to shout a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Katrina Demerle of Hamilton, Ohio, who fired a new (almost unbeatable) precision 3P National Record during the March Monthly Air Gun Match at the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center at Camp Perry!
Katrina set the Overall Three-Position Air Rifle Precision National Record with an outstanding score of 599-56x! The previous record of 598 was held by Ethan Settlemires in 2008 and was later tied by Rhiann Travis in 2015. Katrina also set a new Standing Position National Record, becoming the first person to shoot a perfect 200 – 20 in Standing.
Katrina’s National Record performance in Ohio immediately followed her gold-medal showing with USA Shooting at the El Salvador Junior Airgun Grand Prix, where she fired a qualifying score of 624.3 before going on to hold the lead throughout the entire final! Katrina also teamed up with John Blanton in the mixed team event in El Salvador, with the pair claiming the bronze medal on the podium.
Keep making us proud, Katrina!
