I purchased a lot Lapua/Norma 6BR cases. I have started case prep by deburring the flash hole. My Synclair flashhole deburring tool is too large to fit into the Lapua flashhole. I compared the 6BR case flash hole diameter of the Lapua cases and it is indeed smaller than other Norma cases and U.S. cases in my inventory.
Is this smaller flash hole typical of the 6BR case?

I too use Lapua 6mmBR cases for 300m. I also use the Sinclair flash hole deburring tool. If my memory serves me correctly, the pilot drill on that deburring tool just barely opens up the hole. There are other flash hole tools out there that have a bigger pilot and really drill out the hole. Comparing my Lapua cases to others in my inventory (including Lapua in other calibers), the flash hole is indeed smaller. I don't know how it compares to 6mmBR cases from Remington or Norma, though. There is nothing wrong with your cases...they will work great. Good luck with your 300m project!
