What is the best way to mount a 4-20x50 scope on a anschutz 1811 for prone shooting ? Do I just need 11mm rings or any other type of rail and rings ?
Thanks Scott

11mm rings of the appropriate will work, but may not be ideal. The front receiver ring is not very long, and that limits how far forwards you can mount the scope. This often matters for prone. I think Anschurz made an extended raiser block just for this: it's about 8-10in long and gives a continuous dovetail. From memory the part no is 6811. One of the US equipment suppliers (Champions Choice?) makes a version.

I use the Centra Vibrake on my Anschutz. I then have the normal 11mm rings on the scope. The front ring is about 1 1/2” in front of the receiver.

What are the dimensions of the Centra?
The Anschutz rail is 6.9mm thick (top of dovetail to top of dovetail groove) X 9 inches long. The farthest the Anschutz rail can extend past the front of the receiver is 3.4 inches. The Anschutz works, but it easily deflects.

The Centra is nominally 8mm high, but from memory it's wider than a regular riser block. When I had the short version, ten years or so back, it was sold as an action-stiffener to increase rigidity/accuracy. I didn't try to prove that, but remember it was pretty solid.
