Anschutz, Feinwerkbau, Walther rear sight specifications

Post by PaulB »

I know that with the advent of "bloop" tubes and other forms of sight extensions the following question is less meaningful than it once would have been.
Does anyone have a compilation of how much one click of elevation or windage on the rear sight moves the point of impact of the various sights (makes and models) produced over the last 50 years or so. I think I have at least 3 types, and as many as 5 or 6 types, of the major brands listed on the subject line. I believe that they range from 1/4 MOA to 1/20 MOA if I remember correctly what I have read over the years.

Paul,

I'd always understood the default for German sights was 1/5-1/6Moa. That's for 10-click rotations. I've never seen a 1/20 Moa sight, that would be very fine, sub 1mm at 50m. Do you mean 20 clicks per rotation? Those tend to be 1/12 Moa, though I've heard of some coming out finer. The Centra Spy has 24 clicks per rev, which is about 1/15MoA.

I may have confused 1/20 MOA with 20 clicks/rev.
