I bought a used lp50 and the magazines will fire the first round and then not cock for the next round. It will do this or double and fire 2 rounds and not recock. What can i do to fix this?

Mine started intermittently doing this. If screw 70 in the parts diagram is screwed in to far it will not re-cock. My LP50 had slowed down a bit and I tried to recover the speed by adjusting screw 70, it stoped re-cocking completely until I backed off the screw.

Looks like 70 is an oring from what I see. I assume you mean 68 or 69? If so how far are they screwed out?

I found the screw you were talking about. I loosened mine to where it was even with the outer screw. No improvement

You must have a different parts diagram. My adjusting screw is 70. Mine is slightly below flush with the outer screw. The outer screw is showing 1 turn of thread. My Steyr is a LP50hp. Air pressure drives a piston back to re-cock the pistol. The problem may be with the piston seals. If it is I think you need someone that has more expertise repairing these pistols. Sorry I could not help.

Maybe check the trigger is correctly adjusted. You tube video from Steyr shows how. Make sure trigger assy is tight in the frame, one bolt and grub screws. A correctly adjusted trigger has a short first stage and a small amount of smooth creep on the second stage. I have adjusted mine following the video.

I found that the 2mm allen screw on the left side of the frame was loose. Tightened up and works perfect. Would that be because the assembly was loose?

The grub screws have a tapered tip, a small amount of looseness will result in a significantly out of position trigger. They are the primary locating device for the trigger. Its my theory and I am sticking to it. Hopefully the pistol continues to work well for you.
