Steyr cylinder connectors/fittings

My scuba tank has a male fitting that allows the Steyr cylinders to be screwed directly into it, without need to use the adapter included with the LP10. Now I need to charge cylinders that have a foster fitting, so I’m trying to remember the name of that connector or fitting exhibited by my scuba tank so I can look for a suitable adapter. Do you know what it is called? Thanks.

You will probably find everything you want at:-

As a Steyr owner you might also want to look at their through drilled filling adaptor:-

Thanks, David, but what I need is the name of this type of male fitting.

Once I know what it is called, then I can look for a foster to “whatever this thing is called” adapter. Without knowing that keyword, how am I supposed to find what I need? Also, on the page you linked, the word “foster” does not appear. Is there a synonym for “foster” that I need to know? Thanks again.

For a standard Steyr pistol adaptor you want a 232 DIN valve.

I think these two adapters might combine to give me what I need.

I’m not sure if the BSP is BSPP or BSPT, or if it matters. Can you tell from looking at them if these would work together?

Question- are you trying to connect the tank to a fitting on an air rifle/pistol that is not the Steyr?
If so, it is easier to use if you have a bleed valve. This-
https://www.bestfittings.co.uk/shop/air ... ton-bleed/
with any of the hoses, plus this, connector (BSP)-
https://www.bestfittings.co.uk/shop/qui ... er-socket/
will allow you to connect to many rifles, etc.
Add the DIN connector-

and the BSP plug,
https://www.bestfittings.co.uk/shop/qui ... pler-plug/
to also use this setup to connect to your Steyr adapter, anytime.
BEST Fittings will answer your questions, and give you better advice with regard to your particular application, if you contact them. They are quick to respond, and sell quality goods.

Thanks. And yes. I’m trying to charge a Thomas field target rifle with my scuba tank. The Thomas has a nondetachable cylinder with a foster port and no manometer. So I will need the hose to have an output manometer that reflects the pressure in the cylinder that is being charged so I can avoid over filling it.
