Burris Optics and USA Shooting Find What Matters with New Partnership Agreement
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (January 14, 2019)
Burris Optics has found what matters by announcing a new partnership agreement effective immediately with USA Shooting. The partnership makes Burris the official 2019 optics provider of America’s Shooting Team. As the presenting sponsor, USA Shooting will announce the monthly Burris Best, spotlighting the top athletic performance of a USA Shooting Team athlete.

The two organizations place extreme value on accuracy, durability and innovation, which serves as the foundation of the agreement.

“The USA Shooting Team and America’s top marksmen and women have a clear 2020 vision of maintaining a tradition of excellence and educating the general public about opportunities in competitive shooting sports,” said USA Shooting Director of Marketing Communications Kevin Neuendorf. “Attaining this vision is not possible without partners like Burris Optics willing to step forward and show belief in what we are doing. We appreciate their confidence in our athletes and can’t wait to showcase the great line of products Burris has available for hunting, tactical and competitive shooting needs.”

The Colorado-based company will provide opportunities for USA Shooting team athletes and coaches to train and use Burris products in the field and on the range as well as gain access to innovative firearm enhancing technology critical for maintaining competitive advantage at key shooting events. Additionally, Burris will provide product for auctions to help support USA Shooting’s fundraising efforts.

“We have long been fans of America’s shooting team,” said Burris Director of Marketing Ryan Hennig. “Educating future generations about the heritage and opportunities in shooting sports is a high priority for us and we believe the USA Shooting team’s 2020 vision can accomplish this. We look forward to our partnership and what we will achieve together.”

Formed in 1971, Burris has always been an innovative leader in the rifle scope market. This passion for cutting edge technology, combined with a dedication to quality and a "no questions asked" Forever Warranty all at an affordable price makes Burris an incredible value and has solidified Burris as an excellent riflescope choice for hunting, tactical, and competition shooting.

What exactly do USA shooting athletes use optics for? Except for shotgun, they use electronic targets that have a monitor right in front of them, and no competition allows optical sights. I am also not aware of any shotgun shooters using spotting scopes to check and see if they hit a bird.....

Perhaps coaches can spy on their shooter's personal monitors rather than relying on the large display screens that display all shooter's scores and shot locations?

Even the top USA ISSF shooters don't get to shoot on electronic targets all the time. When rifle and pistol shooters are shooting practice or matches on paper targets they would need spotting scopes.

Athletes shooting on electronic targets at 50m and 300m can use spotting scopes to check the rubber advance, mirage, etc. Spotting scopes are not allowed at 10m.
