3P shooing coat advice

Post by hengehold »

I am debating the purchase of a 3P coat and would prefer to stay in the $300 range if possible. I know that I would like someone with TopGrip on the elbows and suede on the side for the support arm in standing. I found two coats that look like they would do the job. The first is the Anschutz Match from 10.9 and the second is Sauer Standard Mix. I am wondering if anyone has experience with either of these jackets. Is there any reason not to purchase either one?

Here is the Anschutz match jacket. It has sinthetic suede instead of real suede on the jacket for support in standing. Does synthetic suede hold up after a year or two of use or does it fall apart? http://www.10pt9.com/anschutz-match-jacket-164

Here is the Sauer Standard Mix.

It is tough to decide on a jacket without having them in person to look at and try on. Thanks for your feedback.

The Anschutz Match jacket is very nice. You get the support from the canvas not the suede and it holds up just fine. I purchase an Anschütz suit for my son and he used it for about 8 months until we were sure he had stopped growing and then ordered his custom Hitex. I was going to list his Anschütz suit for sale at $300 for both pants and jacket if you are interested. Jacket is a sz 52 and pants are a sz 54. Jacket has upgraded Hitex buttons
