Has anyone replaced a barrel in a 2013? Any tips/things to watch out for? Will be doing in once I get my new one in the mail.

Thanks in advance,

You should get a headspace gage set to properly set the barrel depth in the action. Make sure to use a torque wrench to correctly tighten the barrel clamp to the proper level.

Follow the factory instructions, do not forget to tighten the set screw first, and when done, test at the range. If you cannot make things work, talk with Lilja. They have been exceptionally gracious and prompt with me and I cannot adequately thank them for their help. The resulting rifle is a joy.

Its not a Lilja. Its a new Anschutz that I got from Neal Stepp so no instructions because Anschutz only wants a gunsmith to do the work so just winging it.

This may be of little help but anyway . . .

Never replaced a barrel but have the 2013 Anschutz barreled action. Came in the 2313 Stock, set torque per handbook with Anschutz torque wrench with weight of rifle, sold the stock several years later and got a Master Class Stock bedded by Sitman, torqued per his instructions with a torque wrench that shows the amount of torque.

Headspace: Hmmm, don't know and would send to a competent gunsmith.

From Lilja website.
This has worked for a few barrels I have done.
We offer .043″ Go Gauge made by Pacific Precision.Important.Buy this first
Installation instructions for original Anschutz 2007/13 design:
anschutz

To remove original barrel:

Backoff single 3mm set screw on bottom of receiver.
Loosen (3) 4 mm socket head cap screws.
Pull original barrel out of action.
To install new barrel:

Slide barrel into receiver until it contacts loading ramp.
Place Go Gauge in chamber and close bolt.
Tap barrel from muzzle end to ensure barrel is up against the Go Gauge. This step is very important.
Tighten 3 mm set screw on bottom of receiver.
Tighten (3) 4 mm socket head cap screws to a torque setting of 75 inch pounds.

Shouldn't you remove the bolt claws to use the headspace gauge? When I'm using mine to check HS, having the claws on the bolt skews the reading.

I have done it with the claws out and in. Results were the same so now I just leave them in.
