FWB Butt Plate Advice

I am still very much a novice, so please forgive me in advance if I don't even use the correct terminology. The bottom line is that I am trying to help my daughter solve a small but annoying problem with the butt plates on her FWB rifles (an 800X and a 2700 supermatch). Using my daughter's terminology, and for a lack of a better description, the "rubber nubbies" on the butt plates are repeatedly falling out of the butt plates during routine handling and shooting. The stems on those little buggers are not tapered, they are not easy to push back into place and some have been lost because it is not immediately apparent that one has fallen out while shooting and moving about.

I assume that it is desirable to have the rubber nubbies in place to provide additional grip, correct? If so, I would welcome suggestions for how we can keep the rubber nubbies in place, and ideally it would involve something common that I could easily acquire and would not require a lot of mechanical ability on my part! Is there a common glue or adhesive that would successfully hold them in place? Many of the adhesives I have looked at seem to be intended for rubber or metal but not both rubber and metal.

If I don't receive any effective suggestions, have others experienced the same problem and, if so, how have you addressed the problem? Live without them and rely on the rubber on her coat alone? Replace them with something else?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Superglue (cyanoacrylate) will stick clean rubber to clean metal in 30 seconds.

If the rubber dimples still pop out, could you glue a piece of Top-Grip rubber onto the plate? It would provide grip, but would be less prone to working loose.
