Comparing the stock medium grip the Steyr LP1/5/10 comes with to a Rink medium (or large) grip, how does the distance from the rear of the grip to the trigger blade at its rearmost setting compare? Is the Rink longer or shorter than the stock grip?

I've got short fingers and I'm wondering if the Rink would allow for a shorter reach to the trigger.

Rink is offering several configurations for each grip size. That makes it difficult to answer your question. By sending him a sketch of the outline of your hand like it’s explained on his site, he can answer your question and might propose a solution to you.

It very much depends on the angle of the grip on the frame, and the adjustments screws on your Steyr. Most grips have a similar amount of wood between frame and hand, so if you mount it flush along the back on the frame, it will be similar. Almost nobody I know puts the grip in full contact with the frame though, and using the adjustment screws will often give you a larger distance to the trigger. On the other hand, if you should be a candidate for the +7 Rink, that would cut down on the distance to the trigger. The Steyr grips themselves differ, from the early Morinis to the current grip they are using. If you have very short fingers, get a Dremel, or an Evo 10...

Follow TYCHO's advice. Hog out the rear of your grip; it probably needs work elsewhere anyway.

So many feel "new grips" will solve their problems when by spending more money it will make them worse.
