Training use for mech trigger of MGH1 Hybrid

The MGH1 hybrid trigger has both electric and mechanical release. The weight of the mech release has to be set higher than elec so the elec will release first (when turned on). In training and practice I've been spending some time pulling the mech release (elec turned off). Since mech is heavier than elec release i have to focus more on holding steady while I squeeze. Seems to be helping my release when shooting with elec release which i use for most other training and competition.

Does training some with the mech release sound like a good idea to improve hold while sqeezing trigger?

Knowing the characteristics of its mechanical trigger it’s good mental training for being prepared of the odd situation like a failing electronic. The little extra weight should not compromise the quality of the “shot”.
If the front sight becomes less stable with only a little increase of the trigger weight then the pistol is probably held to firmly and the focus was too much on pinpointing the 10.9.
