Steyr LP1 dryfire question

Hello everyone

i recently bought a steyr LP1 secondhand. I'm very pleased with the pistol overall, but i have a 'problem' with the dry firing function.
Sometimes it works just great, you only hear the little spring noise inside, but sometimes you hear a noticeable 'pop' of air releasing. I can't really find a pattern between the 'good' and the 'bad' dry fire shots.
It isn't the same amount of air as a shot without the dry firing used, but still noticeable different from the 'normal' dry firing.

Has anyone experience with this, and how to resolve it?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your quick answer.
The screw of the cam is/was tight though, and the part itself looks alright, no visible damage, so I wonder if changing it does anything.

I almost never dry fire with cylinder fully screwed on, but when I do I hear the puff. I have it too, so I just ignore it.

I have never heard it on my LP1, even with old and leaking cylinders.

mine don't leak (after several weeks stay at 200 bar), and I have new o-rings in the Steyr and have always had it. No problem with the pistol otherwise.

I contacted Steyr Sport about it (send some pictures of the cam etc), and they think a new cam will fix it (there was a bit of wear and tear on it).
So I'll try that, and let you know if it resolved the issue.
