Walther Diopter Sight

Hoping for some advice about these older Walther rear sights. I'm putting together a left handed rifle for one of our juniors and these are setup for a left handed rifle and shooter. Do any of you have any experience with these? Any known problems or issues? Will they take modern standard metric threaded accessories like an iris, sunshade tube etc.? Thanks in advance for your help.

They will take modern iris'. I have a Gehmann 510 on my Walther LG55 (sight exactly as yours).
The sights are good - they are a bit unusual as they have a coarse adjustment (the screws on the face plate - two each for up/down), and then the fine click adjustments.
