I would like to stipple my FWB 600 stock. I don't shoot it for competition now but I wanted to know if I would be at risk for any NRA or ISSF matches if I stippled the grip and forend.
Thanks,
Craig
Is stippling legal on a 10 meter precision air rifle?

I don't feel that stippling on the stock would render any form of an improper modification on any weapon...."Doc"

Re: Is stippling legal on a 10 meter precision air rifle?
I found the rules and they state "no material" and I'm thinking that stippling and checkering are not adding material but are a surface treatment.
I'm just trying to get a sanity check before I actually do something to the stock!
NRA Rule
h) Material that gives increased grip may not be added to the foreend,
pistol grip, butt plate, or lower part of the stock. Adhesive
sprays may not be used on the rifle or clothing.
ISSF Rule
7.4.2.5 Material that gives increased grip may not be added to the foreend,
pistol grip or lower part of the stock.
