I cannot find much info on either target pistol, what are the differances between the two, is the Hammerli American, a model 207?
I am looking at both and cant decide which would be the better of the two.
I am looking to get into target shooting at the local matches this winter, and also be competitive.
Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.Thanks

Dunno what a Hammerli American is.

Hammerli 280s are a nice pistol. Bit of a shit if you have small hands is all.

The Hammerli - American Mod 207 22 lr is basically a long barrel, compensated 208
a safety catch fitted and heavy barrel weight.
Both the 207 & the 280 have the same problem of very limited parts available.
Better to buy a pistol in current production.
