3/8" to 11mm sight risers / adapters

I would like to put a modern set of sights on a Remington 540xr for my son and need an adapter to go from the 3/8" grooved receiver to the modern 11mm sight base of the rear diaopter. Does anyone know of a commercially available product? I've searched and searched but haven't seen anything yet.

I bet some nicely cut shims would work to make up the 60 thou difference.

Depending on the specific rear sight you're using, it may clamp on without shims or an adapter. I would certainly recommend seeing if it's actually an issue before you go down the adapter/shim road.
If you do need something to take up some space, a piece of aluminum can cut to the appropriate size should do it.
