trigger adjustment

Hi,

I have an SP-New RF and I could not quite adjust the trigger to my liking. I have tried our local shooter's trigger on his Pardini, and he got it right(to my preference)
....about 500 grams on the first stage and probably 600 on the second. He tried doing my trigger but could not lower the first stage pressure. Despite the "PP" having been adjusted to its least pressure (the head of the set screw is almost on the same level as that of the top of the gun), my first stage is about 900 grams, making the second stage hardly discernible. Your help please..

Ron

Make sure that the spring for the second stage weight isn't touching the "lip" of the trigger at the same time.
It should have a gap, for the first stage spring to do it's thing, and only when the first stage ends should the lip touch the second stage spring.
If you back out the second stage spring all the way (remove the bigger screw) and you still can't get the weight down, it either needs a new lighter spring or a good cleanning.

Hope this helps

Thanks! It worked! My stupid mistake for not realizing that the lip was actually resting on the second stage.
