Broken firing pin in Walther GSP

In competition yesterday, I managed to break a firing pin in my .22 Walther GSP. The question I would like to post is; in an emergency in a match, after claiming a "break and cease to function", could I safely swap the bolt from my old OSP - designed for .22 short, and use it for .22 long rifle? Everything fits fine, I'm just not sure about the lightness of the bolt or the ejector length. Has anyone tried this???

even if it fits .. it is too light for .22lr. if i remember correctly in the conversion sandy did for his daughter's osp to shoot .22lr he had to put the cocking handles of a 32. gsp to get the bolt weight up. and you may also have to play with the spring to make it function reliably. better solution is to have a fellow competitor's loan you his gsp upper to finish the match

Thanks for your post ghostrip. It wasn't what I wanted to hear but it was what I needed to hear. Cheers
