Hi guys I have a Vostok MU55 which I bought from the original owner, he had it for about 30 years and I had it for maybe six and the first real malfunction happened Sunday when it failed to engage the sear.. So I hand to use thr spare hammer#46 and the rod assembly#50 but it's working like new again, but guess what I have no more replacement parts..I need to find a vendor who would sell MU55 spares. It may take another 35 or so years before I need them but just incase I need them before. Thanks in advance.

Unobtanium. Cheapest way is to buy other pistols and strip them, second is custombuilding the parts you need.

Hi,

The original part(s) can most likely be repaired.
You have probably two options. The first would be to have the sear notch on the hammer (#46) recut and/or the engagement hook on the sear (#57) touched up.
If there is not enough material to do this, or perhaps there is material chipped or damaged, your second option is to have the part(s) welded up and re-shaped.
An excellent gunsmithing outfit who can do this work for you is Pullman Arms. They have a process called micro-welding. I can say, having used their services, that they are really top notch. They do amazing work on small parts. Heat treatment of the parts is not affected and their work is very precise.

The only problem you may have is being located in Barbados.

Best Wishes,

That was too old model but I think the best to care for. The parts there are probably amazing and have a nice quality.
