Anschutz extension tube

Does anyone have any experience, favourable or otherwise, of the Anschutz extension tube in anodised aluminium, original part number 2013-57? It weighs in at just over 1lb, or 485 grams, and is 440mm long. I ask because I have one that I am thinking of trying out on an 1813, for which it was not designed, so it will need a bit of machining, which in turn will make it less easy to sell to someone with a 2013, for which it was intended, if it doesn't work for me. Grateful for any help in this matter.
