Electronic Target Bullet Trap

This is a project I took up for my rifle club,
In summary of our issue we have Sius Electronic Targets, they came with an 11"x11" self healing rubber mat, but we have and continue to shoot those out. Plus there is also the problem of shooting standing, The bullets impact the ground behind the target and not the berm. in a designated flood zone i understand this could be an issue.
So this is a meeting of the minds here is a video of my (Copied) solution, i say copied because i saw the Sius pellet trap and decided to build an industrial version. See Video.

We are going to give this prototype a test run hopefully next week and so far there are two issues that should be brought to attention.
The noise of the bullet impact. this could be remedied with some type of dampening material on the back of the trap, for example clay or wood. Or it could be ignored all together, it should not ring as bad as the face plate because this is more solid so less vibrations.
The weight is the other issue, built from 1/4" plate it is on the up side of 10 lbs. it wont need 2 people to carry it but adds to the issue of setting up every time. In last minute thinking I decided I should build a carry handle, so that the plastic strap on the target unit is not used as a pick-up point. Cable routing could be a third concern.
Anyone have thoughts?
Sincerely,
Cameron Keating
