Walther KK200

I just picked up a Walther KK200 off GB to use as a BR action donor. I like the clamped bbl set up that is similar in concept [ but superior in design imo ] to the Annie 2013. I slugged the factory bbl and it feels like a current state of the art constantly tapering aftermarket bbl. I fitted a Harrell's tuner and fitted the bbl'ed action into a wood BR stock that has a toe line parallel to the bore centerline.

I removed the first stage spring and linkage from the trigger and adjusted out the first stage. I trimmed some excess plastic from the trigger pull weight adjusting lever which allowed for dramatically reduced preload on the spring. By adding a bit more sear engagement I got the trigger pull down to a normal sub 3 oz BR trigger pull with no following issues.

I shot the rifle in my club's last BR match of the year at the end of October with only a few rounds put through the gun before the match got under way. The rifle shows promise at this early date. Was only 2 X's behind the winner but 9 points down. The gun definitely didn't like the lot of Eley Match I was using and I need to do some tuner twisting after some ammo lot testing.

I still need to borescope the bbl to look for chamber issues and to see how the crown looks and do some more work on the bedding of the stock. I have a .900 Shilen Ratchet bbl blank that has been sitting on the shelf for a couple of years so it will probably end up on the Walther eventually.

Any other KK200 enthusiasts here ??? Hints and tips for me ??
