Installing front Sling Swivel on an Avanti 753

My first competition air rifle arrived today and I am having some trouble with assembly. The instructions say that it comes with the front sight and front sling swivel already attached, but they were not attached. I figured out how to attach the front sight, but I have no idea how to install the sling swivel and attach the sling. The instructions are little help on that point. Does anyone have any advice? I've been searching online for a video or tutorial, and I can't find anything so far.

I think I may have figured it out, but if so, there's some hardware missing, as in the nut and bolt. I suppose I can get that at the hardware store. Can anyone confirm that I'm on the right track and tell me if it is on backwards?
