Hi guys.Firstly its great to see the ISSF getting the final matches up on youtube fairly quickly for us all to watch. What I wish they would organise is the person delivering the commentary had some idea about what she was talking about.Obviously the same person talks about all disciplines and it really bugs me[nothing personal]Ok she does have guests next to her. Why? Surely they could have a retired world class shooter who could do a better job?Im sure they would have ample reasons why this cant happen but just my thoughts.

Like a lot of sports they should have the one person concentrate on the actions and give as much blow by blow description as possible. Such as person does not need to know 100% of the discipline.
The other person should be the color analyst, giving the background of what is going on, such as so and so is now using a different brand of rifle, or so and so miss a shot because of certain reason, and also need to be very well verse on the rules.
If the commentator just chatting with the color analyst during a match, then they simply do not do their job correctly. They should not chat to each other at all, especially about the color analyst, who is often a fellow competitor, or recent retired competitor.
The best kind of color analyst would be someone who is well versed on ALL discipline, but it is very hard to find someone who is/was good at pistol and long arms at the same time at the world level.
