Target Pistol Grip Sizing Chart

There are always lots of questions being posted about grip sizing. I've put together a table that summarizes what I've been able to find out from various vendors. They all seem to work off the same measurement (hand width across the knuckles), but the size designations vary quite a bit. Most of the data is published on the web, but in several instances I contacted the manufacturer directly.

Here's Rink-Formgriffe's drawing of the measurement scheme:

If anyone has any additional info or corrections, I'd be happy to add them.

Thanks for pulling the data together and posting the summary.

I have several grips for a Steyr LP10 but can't feel or measure much difference between a stamped M(edium) and a L(arge). The M is a newer Steyr style with the white plastic badge and the large is a CM stamped grip which I assume is an older style. I understand both are Morini made. My medium grip actually has slightly more palm fill so I use it. I measure 95mm across the knuckles and both fit okay which would also agree with your summary table.

Do you know if manufacturers have been true to sizes over time or if they have changed?

Given the overall lack of any sort of standardization, I wouldn't be surprised if things change over time. Especially if a pistol vendor changes who makes their grips.

I had a lot of trouble prying loose as much info as I did. Many vendors never answered my queries. For example, I know Nil Griffe makes the grips for Benelli, but I could never get a straight answer from either company as to whether the grips for the Benelli pistols followed Nil Griffe's sizing chart. Nil Griffe referred me to Benelli, and Benelli never answered.
