Can a scatt system be used outdoors?

The quick answer is no for the USB systems however I note that SCATT are now offering the MX-01 System that they state may be used outdoors. I haven't seen one and would be very interested to hear from anyone who has used one.

They can be used outdoors, one of my coach colleagues often sets his up outdoors, but...

It does though depend what your trying to do with it and you have to very careful with light especially sunlight around the sensors. I think he uses his in shade and still with artificial light.

As Rutty say, there is a new model which is stated useable out to 300M. I too though haven't heard anything about it or seen it.

As a coaching aid though, IMO it's better used indoors where external influences are minimised. I only ever use it in dry fire mode with smallbore rifle but I use it live with air (rifle and pistol).
