Something we were talking about in our Club recently--how tight do you shoot. This is in regards to the tightness of your position, how tight you are tied in with your sling, sorry cannot think how better to describe this!

I seem to remember many Moons ago when I could shoot a bit, breaking the odd sling attatchment we used Goose neck attatchments then. They made a Ping when breaking and you ended up flat! Nowadays I tend to shoot looser but notice my groups seem to open up if I get "looser" for want of a better description.

I also find that looseness results in scattered groups. I always attribute this to inconcistent recoil absoprtion.

I try to have my position tight enough to be stable and avoid "bouncy" recoil, but not so tight my right shoulder becomes tense.
