601 piston seal

got a seal kit for my 601 but the piston seal doesnt match any picture or diagram I have seen. Piston does appear to be factory. Any info would be appreciated

Feinwerkbau did change the piston/seal to a different type at some stage due to the piston breaking so I think there maybe 2 types.

Colin's answer is basically correct. There is the "early" seal that you have and then the "seal for all the rest".
For whatever reason FWB went from the L shaped seal on the solid piston to the puck on the front of a piston fairly early in the life of the Model 601.
You will also need a new piston body to go with the late style piston seal. Make sure you get the piston pin to go with that.
Requires a small press or good hand with a drift punch to change it out.
