Hammerli Sp20 RRS

Post by Ryan1911 »

Question for Hammerli Sp20 22lr owners. I currently have only high velocity ammo available due to ammo shortage. Would it be safe to use them in my Hammerli Sp20 RRS 22lr?

Thanks,
Ryan

Ryan, You should be able to use your ammo, by adjusting the buffer.

I wouldn't.

But it's your choice. I suggest you ask Hammerli if it's OK and maybe get a price on a new slide while you are at it!

Okay thanks everyone for the responses! Well I guess I have to shoot my old Ruger mark II for now.

The SP20 RRS has a new style buffer fitted and it is not adjustable.
As the same buffer is fitted to both the .22 and .32 you should have no problem.
Try it and see what it feels like. also test your buffer and replace it if worn.
