Grips for FWB 103

I've just taken delivery of a used FWB 103. I've wanted one of these for a while now. It's the older two-part grip model.

The grips are a bit small for me, I need a large grip. From the information I've been able to find it seems like ordering grips
from Rink would be a reasonable option.

Before I spend $200+ I'd like to ask for a sanity check to see if this is a reasonable thing to do and/or if I've overlooked
good alternatives.

I just started shooting air pistol matches last year and this will be the gun I use going forward.

Thanks in advance,

Jay

If I were upgrading grips, I would also get the one piece mounting plate (which can order directly from FWB). That would allow you to upgrade to the one piece grips which may give you more adjustments vs the 2 piece. Though I have not used the two piece Rink grips, the one piece Rinks work well on the 103 and are much nicer than the original 2 piece grips and well worth the upgrade

For the newer mounting plate, there is also the factory Morini grip, which I find pretty nice.

I have a large p34 grip 2 part. But unsure if it would fit 103.

Try google, you'd be amazed at what you can find.

Apparently you can update the grip mount to use the single piece Morini grip and also use one from a p30 p34 p50 p58 etc. that's a lot of outdated pistols to choose a grip from. It doesn't specifically state the two piece p34 grip will work but my guess is that it will. Just ask if he'll take it back if it doesn't work.

Lots of good advice here ...

... thanks for the replies.

First, I'd like to see if I can work something out with tonyv138 for
the large grips he has. Tony could you please email me at:
jayb at blarg dot net. I'll pm you as well.

I'll also investigate the FWB adapter since everyone thinks the
one piece grip is a better place to start than with the two piece.

I'm a real SSP fan so I'm really pleased with the FWB 103.

Thanks again,

Jay
