Round ball trigger shoe

I am looking at a used FWB P70 air rifle. It has a small round ball as a trigger shoe. I like it. Wonder where it came from and would like to try on on my air pistol.

Anyone know about these? Who makes them and where are they available? Googled to no avail.

Any information would be appreciated.

Good idea, but how do you measure trigger weight?

That is the same one. The thing that seems positive to me is it is very easy to get the same trigger position on the trigger finger and there is a limited point of contact I think which makes it easier for consistant trigger pull.

I would be interested in other peoples experience with this trigger shoe if any...

I have used one on a small bore rifle and was quite happy with it, though it does result in the finger being placed/stretched a little further forward than is the case with the standard Anschutz trigger shoe. Also, the tightening screw is a bit flimsy and I found it did not grip strongly enough, so I drilled out the hole - the whole thing is only aluminium - and replaced the screw with a very small steel nut and bolt, which is much better but not so easy to undo or tighten. I have thought of trying to fix (glue?) a small piece of convex metal to the standard shoe, at some convenient point, to give the same effect, but have never got around to it. You could experiment in that way perhaps before buying the real thing, which is not especially cheap.
