Anschutz air cylinder questions

As I've mentioned I have an almost perfect older air cylinder dated 5/98. What I am thinking of doing is disassembling the cylinder to inspect it's interior for corrosion. The outside is perfect with no leaks or any visible problems. I was wondering about inspecting it and continue to use it, or just pitch it out???
