Postals

What is the status of internet postal matches? The Target Shooting Canada match appears to be active, but the rest of Patrick's site doesn't seem to be maintained. His site and this board were favorites for information when I shot before.

The High Noon postal seems to be dead.

While I prefer live matches, it was nice to be able to see what fellow shooters were doing. Are there any matches (other than the big ones like NRA)?

Recently, I saw a postal match on the Bullseye-L list that started in November. In the west, there is the postal run by Inland Empire Rifle & Pistol Club. Info is here: http://www.ierpa.org/

This postal match is for junior and senior teams. Teams are clasified on ability after the first three weeks. . An all star team is also posted each week with the top individuals . First week is due Jan 8th so still time to enter and shoot the postal match.

The Inland Empire matches are 22 indoor Conventional Pistol (bullseye) half matches for teams. I shot them when I lived North of Seattle as part of the Wildlife Committee of Washington teams. I am more interested in international style matches, but I may suggest IE participation once I decide on a club to join. I recognize many of the names I am seeing on TT, but many of the older ones seem to be missing, as well as some of the old training sites.
