We had a nice turnout last weekend for the AZ State International Pistol Championship.

It was run a little differently than most, in that it was a re-entry match over the course of two days. If you didn't like your score, you could reshoot the next day at no charge, with high score to count. Air Pistol and Rapid Fire were by infiltration at any time over the weekend. Free and Standard were shot in the morning and Centerfire after lunch.

A pleasant surprise was the appearance of the Bridge Jr. Shooting Club with their coach In Kim who had driven in from California. A nice bunch of kids with some surprisingly good shooters. All of them were Korean-American.

The coach was pleased to meet me after my post about the club:

He had it enlarged, printed, and pasted on the wall at the club.

All the kids had their own air pistol. It was neat to see the entire line at the AP range with new Walther LP400s, though I know some had Morini 162s.

It was the first time I had seen the pistol and I took the opportunity to give it a close look. A VERY nice gun, with every feature you could want; excellent trigger, too. It would be high on my wish list, were I in the market.

Anyway, everyone had fun. That's why we play this game!
