Post by shooter'sdad »

Looking for a good quality case for new Izzy. Hard plastic/aluminum preferred. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Get a Samasonite briefcase on eBay and line it with foam. A 4" case is thick enough. Great for air pistols and 50-meter pistols.

Just get a cheap plastic case from Rural King. A double pistol case works well. You can put pellets, accessories on top level of foam, and cut out the lower level for the pistol. I think I got my case on sale for $16.95.

Mine is a Plano Protector series Model 1404.

Before the Samsonites, I tried this one. Not bad for the bucks, and they sell the foam, too.

You asked after a "good quality case" so I'll chime in with what I use. The Pelican 1490 laptop case, with the rubber liner taken out and custom cut foam works fine. It's tough, can be locked, and fits two air pistols plus a bunch of accessories nicely without being huge. Of course if you're not planning on carrying a second pistol it is a bit bulky. I got it for by 46m and my Pardini. By Pelican makes a couple of other cases which can fit an AP... just nothing quite an exact match for a 10m AP.

Due to the length of the 46M I went for one of these. I like it!!!

The aluminum case appears to be the same one Pyramid used to sell along with the 46M. I have one and it is an excellent case although the outside dings easily. Not a worry if you dont care how it looks after a bit. Mine got deeply "scratched" by lock from my bullseye case riding in my trunk but it will definetly protect your IZH and fits great.

Recommended.

I will chime in here. I bought the aluminum large case from Harbor freight for both mine and my son's IZH46 pistols. These boxes are only $25.00 on sale and you can use a 20% off coupon as well. They work great for these guns. Here is what it looks like.
