Benelli Kite Firing Prematurely

The team I help coach has a bunch of Kites. We've had problems with them firing when the cocking levers are pushed forward. We found that cocking them by pulling back on only one side can aggravate this.

One student had the "one side cocking" problem last year, and was fine for quite a while cocking it by pulling back on both levers. Now, it fires about once every 40 shots or so, even though she is very careful to cock it with both levers.

We have a match coming up on Friday, and we'd like to get this resolved quickly. I'm hoping it's just a minor adjustment of something like the sear engagement. Apparently this is screw "G".

Any other tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

From what I see, here in Italy, quite often, it is the sear engagement screw. Try to turn it a bit.

It does sound like a sear engagement issue possibly or even just a trigger adjustment if has been adjusted to an extreme ie not enough travel or stage weight. I'd start with the sear.
